The two-day event, which has sold out in all cities, allows cruise specialist travel agents to receive in-person training from more than two dozen different cruise lines in a seminar format.
In all, more than 700 tickets were booked for this year’s CLIA LIVE program across Australia and New Zealand, which has visited Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Christchurch, Perth, the Gold Coast, Auckland and Sydney.
This year’s program had the theme “Connecting Travellers to their Perfect Cruise Holiday”, giving agents a deeper understanding of how to match clients with their ideal cruise, based on their personal preferences, budget and travelling style.
Exclusive to CLIA members, the events were aimed at both new-to-cruise travel agents as well as experienced cruise specialists looking to update their knowledge.
“We’ve always had a fantastic response to CLIA LIVE, but this year has been our best yet,” said Marita Nosic, CLIA Australasia Director of Membership & Events
“We increased the program from six to eight cities and have been able to welcome hundreds more members than previously. The program was completely sold out in all cities, which shows the level of interest in cruise among agents right now.
“There’s such an enormous amount happening in cruising worldwide, so CLIA LIVE is about sharing that insight from across the full spectrum of cruise lines.
“These events are a great opportunity for us to share the latest news and developments in cruising so that agents are fully equipped and can maximise their cruise sales.”
