Philippine Airlines (PAL) is offering Australian travellers 50% off flights from Melbourne and Perth to Manila for 24 hours only, with the sale launching on September 30.
The sale runs from 12am to 11.59pm (AEST).
Alongside the sale, PAL is also expanding its Australia-India connectivity, with plans for new one-stop services to Delhi and Mumbai via Manila.
The new routes will connect with PAL services from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, including the airline’s first-ever service to Mumbai.
From December, PAL plans to operate three weekly Manila-Delhi services and four weekly Manila-Mumbai flights. The Mumbai route will be the airline’s first service to the city.
The new flights will connect through Manila with PAL services from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, providing Australians with additional one-stop options to two major Indian gateways.
Krystle Ramirez Gastrock, Philippine Airlines Country Manager ANZ & PNG, said the expansion would serve travellers visiting India for family, heritage, business and leisure.
“We look forward to serving these journeys with PAL’s full-service experience and Filipino hospitality, while building stronger ties among Australia, the Philippines and India,” Ms Gastrock said.
Manila-Delhi flights are planned for Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with return services operating Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Mumbai flights are scheduled from Manila on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, returning Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Both routes are expected to operate with 168 seat Airbus A321neo aircraft featuring 12 business class seats and 156 economy class seats.
Beyond Australia, the services will provide onward connections through Manila to other PAL destinations including Los Angeles and Vancouver, while also supporting cargo movement between Australia, India and the Philippines.
The planned India expansion remains subject to Indian Government approval.
