HX Expeditions has unveiled its 2028/29 season, with 26 brand-new itineraries, 57 unique voyages and 14 destinations worldwide – including two entirely new to HX.

The program includes shorter voyages in Alaska and Greenland, a new gateway to Antarctica and the first dedicated Scandinavia program.

The season features 57 unique voyages, with new routes ranging from an eight-day Inside Passage program in Alaska to a 19-day circumnavigation of Baffin Island through Arctic Canada.

In Antarctica, HX will introduce a 19-day voyage combining the Antarctic Peninsula and South Georgia aboard MS Roald Amundsen.

A separate itinerary will begin in Stanley in the Falkland Islands, creating a shorter route through the Falklands and South Georgia before continuing to Antarctica.

Gebhard Rainer, HX Expeditions CEO, said the program combined new itinerary formats with the company’s established expedition experience.

“The voyages may be new but the expertise behind them is not,” Mr Rainer said. “The 2028/29 season builds on more than 130 years of expedition heritage, creating new ways for guests to connect with the people, wildlife and landscapes that make these places so extraordinary.”

Scandinavia will also join the program with voyages aboard MS Spitsbergen. These include a 13-day Sweden and Finland itinerary through the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Bothnia, along with journeys linking Denmark, Sweden and Norway and a route from Lindesnes to the North Cape.

In Arctic Canada, the 19-day Baffin Island voyage aboard MS Roald Amundsen will enter the Northwest Passage and attempt a transit of the Fury and Hecla Strait, while incorporating visits to Inuit communities including Qikiqtarjuaq and Kinngait.

Greenland will gain a new eight-day roundtrip itinerary from Nuuk covering Disko Bay, Ilulissat Icefjord and communities including Kangaamiut and Maniitsoq.

HX will also operate 23 Svalbard departures during 2028, marking its longest season in the archipelago.

Nine new Ocean Crossing voyages will connect expedition regions across the Atlantic and Pacific, with onboard lectures, workshops and wildlife watching complemented by selected port calls.

The 2028/29 season goes on sale from September 15 with a launch offer providing 5% off selected cabins and 10% off suites for bookings made through December 3. Eligible loyalty members can access higher combined savings.
