Qantas has kicked off a week-long international sale, offering more than 300,000 discounted seats across 27 destinations, including some of its most popular routes such as Bali, Japan, Los Angeles and Santiago.
The airline’s latest sale comes as demand for overseas travel continues to soar, with almost one million Australians heading abroad in August — a 6 per cent rise compared to the same month last year. Indonesia remains the top destination for Australian travellers, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Fares from $299 one-way
Economy fares start from $299 one-way from Brisbane to Christchurch, available on select dates between November 2025 and September 2026. Return fares begin at $559 from Melbourne to Bali, $999 from Sydney to Los Angeles and $1,599 from Sydney to Santiago — the latter benefiting from Chile’s new visa-free travel for Australians introduced in September.
The sale spans destinations across Asia, the Americas, Europe and the Pacific. Travellers can also redeem Qantas Points for millions of discounted Classic Plus reward seats during the promotion.
Boost to Trans-Tasman services
Alongside the sale, Qantas announced a significant capacity increase across the Tasman, adding nearly 40 additional return flights from April 2026 — an 18 per cent boost compared to the same period this year. The expanded schedule includes more services from Sydney and Melbourne to Christchurch, Wellington and Queenstown to meet rising demand.
Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace said the airline’s international network had seen a remarkable recovery over the past year.
“Demand for international travel is stronger than ever, with more than seven million overseas trips taken by Qantas customers last financial year,” Wallace said.
“We’ve had a huge year of growth with new international routes and capacity increases across the network, and this sale gives customers even more choice and great value. Whether it’s Bali over summer, Los Angeles during its festive season, or exploring Santiago now visa-free, this sale offers something for every type of traveller.”

Fares include checked baggage, food and beverages. The sale runs from 12.01am AEDT Thursday 30 October to 11.59pm AEDT Wednesday 5 November 2025, unless sold out earlier.
