Flight Centre global managing director Andrew Stark has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Flight Centre Foundation.

The appointment is a first for Stark, who has spent more than two decades with the Group holding executive leadership roles across three countries.

“The Flight Centre Foundation has a proud legacy of empowering communities and supporting causes that make a tangible difference,” said Mr Stark.

“I’m proud to join the Board and contribute my retail leadership experience to help continue strengthening the connection between our people, our customers and the communities we serve.”

Andrew Flannery, Chair of the Flight Centre Foundation, called Stark’s strategic appointment a significant step forward for the Foundation’s plans.

“As we enter a new phase of growth and community engagement, having Andrew’s deep understanding of our people and retail customers will be instrumental as the Foundation evolves its focus and expands its global impact,” added Mr Flannery.

Since its inception in 2008, the Foundation has distributed more than $20 million in donations through employee wage contributions and company matched funding.

In 2026, $75,000 will directly contribute towards vulnerable children and victims of family and domestic violence.

“Part of our annual funding commitment includes a Giving Grants program whereby eligible charities apply for funding grants to continue their good work,” said Mr Flannery.

“FCTG employees vote on where their collective donations are invested with a winning theme chosen to focus charitable effort for the year ahead.

“Our 2026 theme will support vulnerable children and victims of family and domestic violence and thanks to the continued efforts of our employees who are signed up for workplace giving contributions, three charity grants recipients will each receive a $25,000 donation towards their charity.”

Flight Centre Foundation Giving Grant recipients will be announced at the end of this calendar year.
