With every order placed through the me&u app at more than 3,000 participating venues, Velocity members will earn 1 Velocity Point for every $5 spent on eligible orders.

Plus, Velocity members can turn points into direct savings on their meals with Velocity’s option to ‘Pay with Points’ on eligible transactions.

With an average of one Velocity member in every Australian household, the partnership with me&u comes at a time when cost-of-living pressures continue to weigh on consumer budgets, and as Australians ramp up their Christmas dining – typically the biggest eating-out period of the year.

“We’re excited to partner with me&u, bringing even more value to our members and helping to turn their next meal into their dream holiday,” said Nick Rohrlach, Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO.

“We’ve seen a 40% increase in members earning Points through non-air partners. From shopping at Myer to dining out with me&u, we’re opening up more ways for our members to earn and use their Points, on the ground not just in the air.”

New research from me&u has revealed more than half of Australian adults have used the me&u app in the past year, totalling over a million orders every week.

In that same period, the humble chicken parmi was Australia’s most ordered menu item, with nearly 2.5 million orders.

Aussies also washed down their meals with more than 2.5 million litres of beer, while Aperol Spritz, Espresso Martini, Tommy’s Margarita and Long Island Iced Tea topped the nation’s cocktail list.
