Ciel Dubai Marina has opened within IHG’s Vignette Collection and now holds the title of the world’s tallest hotel.

Soaring 377 metres above the waterfront and spread across 82 floors, the new landmark brings a dramatic architectural statement to one of Dubai’s most visited districts.

Its design blends calm, contemporary interiors with sweeping views, anchored by one of the world’s highest infinity pools.

Developed by The First Group, the hotel aims to balance scale with a strong sense of place. Flowing lines, soft tones and natural textures create a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the upper floors deliver the kind of skyline perspective that travellers expect from a Dubai high rise.

Guests staying on the highest levels can take in views stretching from Palm Jumeirah to Bluewaters and beyond.

Dining is a major focus. The UK born Asian concept Tattu has opened a multilevel destination that unfolds from level 74 upwards, combining modern Chinese and Japanese cuisine with theatrical interiors.

West 13 offers Mediterranean flavours influenced by Italy, Greece, Spain and France, while East 14 takes diners on an Asian journey with live ramen and pho stations, sushi and dim sum counters and a range of Indian dishes. Risen Café and Artisanal Bakery brings a more casual, homegrown touch with pastries, café classics and coffee sourced from local roasters.

Wellness facilities include a 24 hour gym with skyline views and, from February 2026, a spa offering treatments that blend contemporary techniques with time honoured rituals.

Guests can also access Soluna Beach Club on Palm Jumeirah, where they can relax by the pool or spend the day on the private shoreline.

Despite its record breaking status, Ciel Dubai Marina is more accessible than many travellers might expect. Traveltalk checked rates for a weekend in May 2026 and found prices starting around $300 for a standard room. A one bedroom suite on a high floor with Club Lounge access was priced from about $720, placing the property within reach of travellers seeking a luxury experience without the usual sky high price tag.

Families will appreciate the dedicated kids’ facilities, including a Splash Pad, Kids Club and child friendly menus, while business travellers have access to Nest, a stylish lounge on level 16 with refreshments, meeting spaces and views across the marina.

The hotel also participates in IHG’s A Means for Good initiative and has partnered with the International Centre for Culinary Arts to provide training and opportunities for aspiring chefs.

Located in the heart of Dubai Marina, the hotel offers immediate access to dining, shopping, beaches and major attractions. The Marina boardwalk, water taxis and nearby tram and metro links make it easy to explore the city, with JBR, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai all close at hand.
