Oceania Cruises has announced it will transition to an adults only experience, welcoming guests aged 18 and over on all new reservations for future voyages.
The change, effective immediately, is designed to further enhance the cruise line’s signature atmosphere of tranquillity and sophistication, reflecting feedback from its loyal guest base and travel partners. All existing bookings made before 8 January 2026 that include guests under 18 will be honoured.
Oceania Cruises’ Chief Luxury Officer Jason Montague said the decision was driven by a strong desire to preserve what guests value most about the brand.
“Our guests have consistently shared that the tranquil environment aboard our ships is one of the primary reasons they return time and time again,” Montague said. “By transitioning to an adults only experience, we are enhancing the very essence of the Oceania Cruises journey, one defined by sophistication, serenity and discovery.”
The cruise line said extensive research with repeat guests, experienced travel advisors and first time cruisers confirmed that Oceania is chosen for its serene onboard ambience, refined service and unhurried pace. These qualities are particularly appealing to mature, affluent travellers seeking meaningful travel experiences and like minded company.
The move reinforces Oceania Cruises’ brand promise, Your World. Your Way, with a continued focus on destination rich itineraries, immersive shore experiences and world class cuisine. Guests are encouraged to explore at their own pace while enjoying a relaxed onboard environment designed for connection and discovery.
Oceania Cruises operates a fleet of intimate, luxury ships known for The Finest Cuisine at Sea and itineraries that visit more than 600 ports across over 100 countries. The line also has four new Sonata Class ships on order, scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2035.
