Luxury adults only retreat Mt Hay Retreat on the NSW South Coast has received national recognition after being awarded Silver for Five Star Luxury Accommodation at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
The award was presented in Fremantle on 6 March 2026 and follows the property’s Gold win in the same category at the NSW Tourism Awards in November. The retreat also secured Gold at the NSW Tourism Awards in 2024 and Silver at the Australian Tourism Awards the same year, adding to a growing list of industry accolades.
Mt Hay Retreat has previously been recognised nationally, including receiving Gold for Five Star Luxury Accommodation at the Australian Tourism Awards in 2022. The boutique property has also earned multiple TripAdvisor awards over the years based on guest reviews.
Located near the village of Berry about two hours south of Sydney, the retreat sits on 146 hectares of rolling countryside overlooking the NSW South Coast. The adults only property features a small collection of spacious suites designed for privacy and relaxation.
Each suite includes king beds, living areas, kitchenettes and private decks with sweeping views across the surrounding hills and coastline. Some suites also offer outdoor baths or in room soaking tubs positioned to take in the landscape.

Facilities at the retreat include a 33 metre indoor heated pool and spa, walking trails across the property and the well known Cloud Swing overlooking the countryside.
To mark the latest tourism award, Mt Hay Retreat has introduced an Autumn Reset package for stays until 31 May 2026, with two night midweek stays from $780 per couple including a welcome pack with craft beers, fresh juice and snacks.
