Fiji Airways and Tourism Fiji have renewed their long-standing partnership with a new two-year agreement under new leadership,

The move is aimed at boosting global connectivity, increasing flight bookings and driving visitor growth to Fiji.

The collaboration will see joint investment across key international markets – including Australia, New Zealand, North America and Asia – through integrated marketing, trade engagement and PR activity, building on a decade of successful cooperation.

Tourism is the largest contributor to Fiji’s economy, accounting for around 40% of national GDP and supporting more than 150,000 jobs – nearly one in three nationwide.

Fiji Airways carries around 70% of all visitors arriving by air, underscoring the importance of this partnership.

“While we continue to monitor global developments that may affect the aviation sector, Fiji’s geographic location, relative isolation and reputation as a safe, family-friendly destination continue to support strong travel interest,” said Paul Scurrah, Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO (left).

Under the agreement, the two organisations will work together on initiatives that fulfil the core objective for each company. For Fiji Airways, this means getting more passengers on seats and for Tourism Fiji, this means bringing more visitors to the country.

The renewed agreement strengthens a decade-long partnership between the two organisations enhancing joint efforts across global marketing campaigns, shared market intelligence, and precision-driven digital initiatives, aiming to transform international travel interest into confirmed bookings for Fiji.

“Tourism is the backbone of Fiji’s economy and as the national airline we are proud to play a leading role in connecting Fiji to the world,” added Mr Scurrah.

“This new agreement reflects our continued commitment to the nation and the sustainable growth of Fiji’s tourism industry.

“The success of previous joint marketing efforts shows the strength of this collaboration and we are excited to build on that momentum.”

“Through this renewed MOU, we are exploring new joint initiatives and innovative approaches to complement the strong work already underway, helping us expand our reach in priority and emerging markets and drive more visitors to Fiji, delivering real benefits for the nation’s economy,” added Dr. Paresh Pant, Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Officer.
