Finalists have been announced across the judged business categories for the 2026 National Travel Industry Awards, following close scoring in what organisers have described as the awards’ biggest year on record.
The Australian Travel Industry Association shortlisted the five highest ranked submissions in each category. Six finalists were selected in some categories where entries received equal scores.
Independent university level assessors evaluated submissions based on each nominee’s achievements and the quality of the supporting material provided.
The 14 judged business categories cover employee engagement and recruitment, online travel agencies, specialist and corporate travel management companies, leisure agencies, mobile advisor networks, agency groups and networks.
Awards will also recognise travel industry training programs, supplier and agency sustainability initiatives and marketing campaigns.
Dean Long, ATIA CEO, said the narrow margins between nominees reflected the standard of this year’s entries.
“We’re impressed with the high calibre of submissions from nominees, and it’s good to see that the industry is continuing to raise the bar each year,” Mr Long said.
“The closeness of the scoring is a testament to the level of professionalism across the board, and we’re excited to celebrate the hard work of the finalists at the NTIAs.”
Winners will be announced at the National Travel Industry Awards on October 10 at Crown Melbourne.
