Snow Machine will return to Hakuba Valley from March 2 to 7, 2027, marking its fifth year in Japan with five days of skiing, snowboarding, electronic music and après events across the alpine region.
The first artist announcement is led by Irish DJ and producer KETTAMA, UK drum and bass producer Wilkinson and Grammy nominated producer TOKiMONSTA, with further acts to be announced.
The initial lineup also includes Elderbrook, Patrick Topping, Rebūke, Arielle Free and Kanine, alongside Australian acts Sneaky Sound System, Luude, Sam Alfred, STÜM, Torren Foot and William Kiss.
Japanese artists Risa Taniguchi, Yuuki Yoshiyama and teenage DJ duo Kaiharubro will also perform, adding a local element to the international program.
The 2027 festival will operate across eight stages on seven mountains, including two stages at the Main Arena. Nightly takeover events will run from Thursday to Saturday alongside headline performances, mountain parties and other side events.
Quentin Nolan, Snow Machine Director, said the fifth anniversary program would expand both the music and mountain experience.
“Every year we challenge ourselves to create an experience that goes beyond a traditional music festival, and 2027 is no exception,” Mr Nolan said.

“As we celebrate our fifth year in Japan, we’re bringing our biggest lineup yet, alongside brand new stages, fresh mountain activations and even more unforgettable experiences.”
Beyond the festival program, visitors can combine their stay with skiing, snowboarding, local restaurants, izakayas and traditional onsen across Hakuba Valley.
Five and seven night packages will be offered, combining accommodation, lift passes and festival entry. First release packages start from $1,474 per person, with payment plans available from a $399 per person deposit.
Pre-sale registrations open on August 11, with the first allocation of festival tickets and accommodation packages available from August 17.
Travellers who register for the pre-sale will also enter a draw for a Hakuba trip for two valued at $10,000, including five nights’ accommodation, VIP festival passes, lift passes, merchandise and access to selected side events.
