Webjet is marking its 28th anniversary with a limited time sale across domestic and international flights and holiday packages, alongside new data revealing the destinations Australians have searched most this year.
The promotion, which began on August 10, includes $150 off eligible return flights from Australia to Japan, Europe and North America using the code BDAY150.
Travellers can also receive $200 off eligible Bali and Fiji holiday packages of at least five nights using BDAY200.
Selected Bali fares include Perth from $219 return, Adelaide from $370, Melbourne from $420 and Sydney from $509. Advertised fares exclude Webjet fees and remain subject to availability.
Domestic deals include Sydney to the Sunshine Coast from $126 return, Sydney to the Gold Coast from $129, Brisbane to Sydney from $152 and Melbourne to the Gold Coast from $160.
The online travel agency is also giving customers the chance to win one of 28 gift cards with a combined value of $31,000. The largest prize is a $15,000 Webjet Gift Card.
Eligible customers must spend at least $500 on a flight, hotel or holiday package between August 10 and 31 and opt in to receive marketing communications. Competition conditions apply.
Nicole Sheffield, Webjet Group CEO and Managing Director, said the anniversary was an opportunity to recognise how Australians’ travel habits have developed during the company’s 28 years.
“For 28 years, Webjet has been by Australians’ side as they plan everything from quick weekend escapes to once-in-a-lifetime adventures,” Ms Sheffield said.
Webjet also released its 28 most searched destinations between January 1 and August 6. Melbourne took the top position, followed by Sydney, Brisbane, Bali and the Gold Coast.
Tokyo ranked eighth and London 10th, while other international destinations in the top 28 included Auckland, Nadi, Singapore, Queenstown, Bangkok, Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Los Angeles, Christchurch, Rome and Manila.
