Cruise Month will return across Australasia this October, with a month-long program designed to help travel advisors promote cruising and connect consumers with specialist cruise sellers.
Running under the #LoveCruise banner, the campaign will include social media activity, digital advertising, education opportunities and marketing initiatives.
Each week will focus on a different segment, beginning with Ocean Cruising from October 4 to 10, followed by River Cruising from October 11 to 17, Expedition Cruising from October 18 to 24 and Luxury Cruising from October 25 to 31.
CLIA has released the first stage of its Cruise Month Toolkit, giving members access to logos, videos, digital banners, posters, customisable flyers and social media assets.
A new how-to video has also been developed to help advisors plan their own Cruise Month campaigns, events and social media activity.
The program will include a webinar series hosted by CLIA cruise lines, covering product updates, sales tips, industry news and Cruise Month promotions.
Joel Katz, CLIA Executive Director in Australasia, said the campaign would highlight both cruise holidays and the role of specialist advisors.
“Cruise Month is about inspiring travellers and directing them towards CLIA travel advisors, so we’ll be rolling out a succession of initiatives to help celebrate cruise holidays and the expertise of our member community,” Mr Katz said.
“It’s also an opportunity to raise the profile of travel advisors as a vital part of Australia’s cruise ecosystem, supporting local businesses and jobs by helping connect more Australians with cruise holidays.”
The Cruise Month Toolkit is now available through the CLIA Members Hub.
