A new range of shorter guided holidays across Australasia will launch for the 2027/28 season as travellers look for more flexible ways to explore without committing to longer itineraries.
AAT Kings has expanded its Short Break collection following year on year growth in guest numbers, adding journeys through Sydney, the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley, the Top End and Kimberley and New Zealand’s South Island.
The ‘Sydney, Blue Mountains & Hunter Valley Escape’ combines time in the NSW capital with regional landscapes and food and wine experiences, while allowing independent time alongside guided touring.
Further north, the ‘Top End to Kimberley Adventure’ links two major Australian regions in a shorter format, incorporating landscapes, Aboriginal culture and outback experiences.
Across the Tasman, the ‘South Island Discovery’ itinerary brings together rail journeys, alpine scenery and regional experiences in New Zealand.

Ben Hall, AAT Kings Group CEO, said shorter holidays were increasingly appealing to travellers looking to maximise their time away.
“More travellers are choosing shorter breaks that make every day count, whether it’s a long weekend or a few extra days added to a larger holiday,” Mr Hall said.
“By taking care of the planning and logistics, we’ve created holidays that maximise time in destination while still delivering the local expertise, authentic experiences and meaningful connections that define an AAT Kings holiday.”
The collection can be booked as a standalone holiday or added to a longer itinerary, giving travel advisors another option for clients seeking greater flexibility.

The new Short Breaks form part of the company’s 2027/28 New Season Sale, with savings of up to $2,200 per couple on selected Australian departures when booked by September 30 for travel between April 1, 2027, and March 31, 2028.
Trade resources, including updated sales tools and campaign assets, are also available through the A-LISTERS advisor hub.
