Australia’s retail travel sector is continuing to expand, with 14 new agency locations opened, announced or committed to the Helloworld Travel network over the past 18 months.

The growth includes independent agency owners joining the network as well as existing members adding further locations, reflecting continued investment in bricks and mortar travel retail.

New agencies include Helloworld Hampton, Helloworld Mt Gravatt, Helloworld Nerang, Helloworld Waverley Gardens, Helloworld Dutton Park, Delta Holidays and Barrow and Bear.

Existing owners have also expanded into additional locations including Helloworld Kingsway, Helloworld Noosa and New Farm Travel, while new branded stores have been announced for Chadstone in Melbourne and Miranda in New South Wales.

Further openings are already secured for the remainder of 2026 and into 2027, including Helloworld Elanora, Helloworld Wagga Wagga, Helloworld Toowong, Helloworld North Lakes and Helloworld Whitford City.

The network has also expanded through Helloworld Travel’s acquisition of the remaining 50% of Mobile Travel Agents in October 2025, giving the group full ownership of a network of 450 home based advisors and 60 head office staff.

Andrew Burnes AO, Helloworld Travel Limited CEO and Managing Director, said the expansion reflected ongoing demand for professional travel advice.

“The addition of the new locations and members is a strong endorsement of both the strength of the Helloworld Travel network and the ongoing value consumers place on expert travel advice,” Mr Burnes said.

He added that while technology continued to change the way consumers research and book travel, experienced advisors remained important in helping clients navigate increasingly complex travel arrangements.
