Local Sauce Tours has expanded its Brisbane offering with small-group e-bike experiences, including Australia’s first major city-based e-bike food tour.
The new direction for the tour operator was driven by customer feedback and interest from the tourism industry.
Justin Steele, Founder and CEO of Local Sauce Tours, took his award-winning walking tours from Sydney to his hometown of Brisbane in October 2024.
The business has since been awarded a ‘Best of Queensland Experiences’ badge from Tourism and Events Queensland and was recently named Brisbane’s #1 tour and activity operator on Tripadvisor.
“The response to our Brisbane walking tours has blown us away,” said Justin.
“With the development of the city’s bike network, we are now building experiences for active travellers who want to cover more ground to see the city.
“Heading into the 2032 Olympics, we’re focused on being well-established as Brisbane’s leading tour operator,” said Justin.

Tastes of Brisbane E-Bike Food Tour
This city-based food tour on e-bikes is an Australian first. During the four-hour tour, guests sample Moreton Bay bugs, tropical fruits, “Ekka” strawberry sundaes, lamingtons, native foods and regional produce, while cycling past Brisbane’s best-known sights.

Ultimate Brisbane E-Bike Tour
This three-hour loop of the Brisbane River takes in all the major sights, exclusively travelling on dedicated bike lanes.
Guests ride premium Bluetooth-equipped e-bikes, hearing commentary from an expert local guide and stopping for scenic photos along the way.
