A new three-day self guided cycling itinerary has launched between Adelaide and McLaren Vale, combining riverside trails, coastal paths, wine country and quiet country roads.
The McLaren Vale Cycle begins in central Adelaide, following the River Torrens Linear Park Trail to the coast before continuing along beachfront paths and the Coast to Vines Rail Trail into McLaren Vale.
Travellers spend two nights in McLaren Vale, with the second day offering between 30 and 60 kilometres of cycling depending on pace and interests. The Shiraz Trail can be included, along with a wine tasting experience.
The final day covers around 40 kilometres, travelling via Clarendon towards the Adelaide Hills and Belair National Park before a transfer returns guests to Adelaide CBD.
The package includes two nights of boutique accommodation, electric mountain bike hire with helmet, lock and repair kit, luggage transfers, route notes, maps and GPS information, along with the wine tasting and final day transfer.
The three-day itinerary is priced from $1,650 per person.
