Carnival Cruise Line has donated 100 volleyballs to communities in Vanuatu as part of its ongoing commitment to give back to the destinations it visits.
The volleyballs were transported from Sydney to Port Vila onboard Carnival Adventure during a recent South Pacific cruise and delivered by the ship’s crew.
They will be distributed by Vanuatu Beach Volleyball President Debbie Masauvakalo to schools in rural communities where access to sporting equipment is limited.
“We run exercise workshops for children through our Volley4Change program and we will gift these volleyballs to the children so they can continue to play and exercise and live a healthy lifestyle,” said Debbie.
The initiative reflects Carnival Cruise Line’s commitment to creating positive impacts in the communities it visits, helping provide opportunities for local children to participate in sport and recreation.
