Australasian travel agents have a new training resource designed to make planning rail journeys through Switzerland easier.
A five-part video series covers everything from airport connections to panoramic trains and itinerary building.
Created by Switzerland Tourism in partnership with Destination Webinars, Seamless Switzerland follows Charlie Trevena and Sandra Babey across the country using trains, boats, buses and trams while addressing common questions faced by advisors.
The first episode focuses on navigating Switzerland’s public transport system, including airport arrivals, connections, ticketing, platform information and luggage storage.
Later episodes explore panoramic rail journeys aboard the GoldenPass Express, how different modes of transport connect under the Swiss Travel Pass and the additional cultural experiences available through the pass, including museums and regional attractions.
The final 15-minute episode brings the series together with practical advice on using the SBB app, seasonal planning, family travel and building complete Swiss rail itineraries for clients.
Destination Webinars is also inviting newsletter subscribers who watch all five episodes to provide feedback for the chance to win a $100 gift card. The competition closes October 30.
Further Switzerland-focused webinars are scheduled for October and November, covering the journey behind the series, family travel and winter experiences.
The training program is designed to give travel advisors a more practical understanding of Switzerland’s integrated transport network and greater confidence when building independent rail itineraries for clients.
