A team of scientists, researchers, historians and expedition specialists will join 19 Antarctic departures during the 2026-2027 season.
The experts will share their specialist knowledge of wildlife, conservation, geology and polar history with guests aboard Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit.
Each voyage will be supported by a 21-member expedition team, with experts leading shore landings, Zodiac cruises, wildlife encounters, daily briefings, lectures and optional kayaking excursions.

The season’s specialists include marine mammal scientist Dr Sean Todd, ornithologist JJ Apestegui, archaeologist and Viking scholar Dr Elizabeth Pierce, marine biologist and whale researcher Molly Gaughan and geologist Dr Lori Snyder.
Expedition leaders Luciano Bernacchi, Ignacio Rojas, Juan Restrepo, Dom del Rosario and Fridrik Fridriksson will oversee operations throughout the season, bringing decades of combined experience that includes more than 20 consecutive Antarctic seasons.

Robin West, Seabourn Vice President of Expeditions, said the specialists play an important role in helping guests understand the destinations beyond what they see from the ship or during shore excursions.
“Whether identifying wildlife from a Zodiac, explaining the forces that shape a glacier, or sharing stories of legendary expeditions, they help bring each journey to life in a meaningful way,” Mr West said.
Between November and March 2027, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit will operate 19 roundtrip departures from Ushuaia.
Most voyages will run for 10 to 12 days, while selected 20-day itineraries will also visit South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
Antarctica departures include a pre-cruise hotel stay in Buenos Aires and return charter flights to Ushuaia before guests board their expedition ship.
