A new collection of 2027 touring itineraries is placing greater emphasis on longer stays, fewer hotel changes and more time for independent exploration across Europe and North America.

The expanded Unpack and Explore range from Globus and Cosmos uses one or two bases as a hub for guided sightseeing, local experiences and free time, giving travel advisors another option for clients looking for a slower touring pace.

Brett Simon, Globus family of brands Head of Commercial ANZ, said demand was growing for holidays that allow travellers to connect more closely with a destination rather than move quickly between highlights.

“Our Unpack and Explore Tours combine the convenience of expertly planned travel with the flexibility to enjoy built-in free time, local discoveries and insider recommendations from our Tour Directors and Local Guides,” Mr Simon said.

New Globus itineraries for 2027 include the seven-day ‘Algarve Explorer’ from $3,002 per person, based in Lagos, and the seven-day ‘Trieste, Venice & Slovenia Explorer’ from $3,717.

A new seven-day ‘Split & Dalmatian Coast Explorer’ is priced from $3,860 per person, combining Split with regional experiences including medieval towns and Krka National Park.

Cosmos has also added ‘Gourmet Rome’, an eight-day itinerary from $3,431 per person, combining time in Rome with neighbourhood experiences, local food and excursions into the surrounding Castelli Romani region.

Returning options include ‘London & Country’, ‘Music Cities: Nashville & Memphis’ and ‘Winter in Montréal and Québec’, giving advisors a mix of European and North American choices.
