Virgin Australia’s Pride Flight will return for a seventh consecutive year in March 2027, with services from Melbourne and Brisbane to Sydney now on sale alongside an expanded program of events across the Pride weekend.

The two flights will operate on March 5, with economy fares from $289 one way.

The experience will include departure gate parties, beverages, giveaways, DJ sets and drag entertainment, followed by complimentary VIP entry and three drinks at the official landing party at The Beresford.

For the first time, Pinterest will help shape the Pride Flight theme through its Pinterest Predicts trend forecast.

The 2027 theme will be revealed in December, following previous concepts including Disco Rodeo and Sky High Disco.

Celebrations will continue in Sydney on March 6 with two new events.

The Bero Drag Brunch will include a three-course shared menu, a two-hour beverage package and entertainment from $119 per person, while the Virgin Australia x Kinselas Parade Viewing Party will offer balcony views over Taylor Square, food, drinks and live entertainment from $265.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has also joined as the official accommodation partner, with eligible Velocity Frequent Flyer members able to save 15% on participating stays across selected brands.

Andrew Cleary, Virgin Australia Chief Customer Officer and Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO, said the event had grown significantly since being created by members of the airline’s team.

“We’re looking forward to making Pride Flight 2027 our biggest yet, with new on-the-ground experiences around the main event and more ways for our guests to celebrate from the moment they step onboard and throughout the weekend,” Mr Cleary said.

The airline will also continue its partnership with The Pinnacle Foundation, with $10,000 from Pride Flight ticket sales supporting educational scholarships for LGBTQIA+ young people.
