Walt Disney World’s famed night sky spectaculars will be back from April 2023.

Visitors to Walt Disney World in Florida will soon be able to enjoy several new attractions making their debut in the coming months at two of the entertainment giant’s theme parks.

After being suspended during the pandemic, Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park will bring its Main Street spectacular ‘Happily Ever After’ back from 3 April, with an improved display of music and lights to feature projections from both the latest Disney films as well as the all-important and timeless characters from yesteryear.

Speaking of technology, the following day marks the introduction of a brand new high-speed rollercoaster attraction at the park’s Tomorrowland precinct based on the cult 1980s psychedelic action film TRON, which is tipped to be one of the fastest at any Disney theme park globally.

TRON Lightcycle will begin thrilling riders from 04 April.

The Steven Spielberg classic, which was one of the first movies to rely heavily on CGI, is centred around the character Kevin Flynn, who transports himself inside a computer and interacts with programs.

Adapting elements of both the original and the 2009 remake, the TRON Lightcycle Run pits Team Blue riders against the evil Team Orange computer in a white-knuckled race through eight energy gates to secure victory.

Magic Kingdom is not the only Disney theme park enjoying new attractions. Over at Walt Disney World EPCOT, an all-new night-time show will debut later this year, set in the sky above the park’s central World Showcase Lagoon.

Visitors will be left dazzled by the show, which is expected to feature an array of lasers, lighting, special effects and coordinated fireworks set to both new and familiar music.
