Grand Princess has arrived in Australia, marking her return Down Under ahead of becoming Princess Cruises’ next year-round ship.

She sailed into Sydney Harbour ahead of voyages planned across Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and further afield.

The 2,610-guest ship arrived following a repositioning voyage from Los Angeles via Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. She will then depart Sydney on a 15-day roundtrip voyage to New Zealand.

Grand Princess will form part of Princess Cruises’ 2026–27 regional program, which includes 62 departures across 42 itineraries.

Royal Princess will also return to Sydney for its third season, while Coral Princess will visit Australia and New Zealand during its World Cruise.

Grand Princess entered service in 1998 and has since travelled almost three million nautical miles. The ship carries up to 1,150 crew and features 1,303 guest staterooms across 17 decks.

Princess Cruises also loaded almost 200 tonnes of fresh Australian produce aboard the ship in Sydney, with the summer season expected to include 25 tonnes of beef, five tonnes of lamb and 15 tonnes of pork, all sourced from New South Wales.

Princess Cruises expects its 2026–27 Australian season to generate around $350 million in economic impact across the country.
