Go On An Outdoor Adventure
Named the Most Walkable City in the U.S. by USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards two years in a row, Philadelphia is easy to walk from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, river to river.
Venture through electric neighbourhoods on foot through the nation’s most historic square mile in Old City and the vibrant Delaware River waterfront to South Philadelphia featuring the historic Italian Market.

When Pennsylvania founder William Penn laid out the plan for Philadelphia, he famously included five squares, one at each of the city’s cornerstones and one in the middle. These squares, – Rittenhouse Square, Washington Square, Franklin Square, Logan Square and Dilworth Park – each with their own identities, remain vital to the city to this day.
The Schuylkill River Trail winds its way through Philadelphia’s downtown and into Fairmount Park, one of the world’s largest city-owned urban park systems, home to seemingly endless trails and outdoor opportunities.
Fairmount Park is made up of 63 individual parks, more than 200 historic buildings, an impressive collection of public art and the country’s first zoo.
