The total amount of rubbish collected was an impressive 234 kg – 100 kg more than the beach clean-up in 2024.

The events took place at various locations in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

Previously known as Clean Up Australia Day within Flight Centre, the event has evolved through Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) partnership with Take 3 for the Sea, a non-profit dedicated to reducing plastic pollution in Australian waterways and oceans.

NCL has been a proud partner of Take 3 for the Sea since September 2022, working to inspire and encourage its staff, travel partners and guests to be part of the change.

The initiative’s simple yet powerful message – pick up three pieces of rubbish each time you visit a park, beach, or waterway – has resonated with thousands, contributing to ongoing efforts to combat plastic pollution.

The cruise line has also continued to strengthen its partnership with Take 3 for the Sea by sponsoring the rollout of the Take 3 Surf Life Saving Program across Australia.

The initiative, which has already engaged 46 Surf Life Saving Clubs nationwide, provides communities with simple, everyday actions to protect our oceans.
