Tourism operators across New South Wales are invited to step into the spotlight, with nominations now open for the 2025 NSW Tourism Awards, delivered by the NSW Tourism Association.

Following a national review and industry feedback, this year’s awards feature a streamlined, more accessible entry process. Key changes include simpler questions, a reduced word count (4,000–7,500 words), and a guided format to help entrants highlight their achievements. Backed by Austrade’s Quality Tourism Framework Grant Program, the improvements will be rolled out nationally.

Natalie Godward, CEO of the NSW Tourism Association, said the updates were about making it easier for tourism businesses to be recognised.

“We’ve made the process more accessible, while continuing to celebrate the innovation, leadership and excellence that define NSW tourism,” she said.

Last year, NSW had a record-breaking performance at the national level with 24 finalists and nine podium finishes. Winners also gain strong media exposure, including coverage on Sydney Weekender and across 41 million audience impressions.

There’s even more to look forward to in 2025, with additions including:

  • The new Regional Tourism Awards for the NSW North Coast
  • The first-ever NSW Top Tour Guide Awards
  • The return of the NSW Top Tourism Town Awards, supported by NRMA

NSW Tourism Association Chair Stuart Ayres added:
“With the simplified entry process and new programs, it’s never been easier to enter the only nationally accredited tourism awards program in NSW.”
