Get ready for a paw-some time this winter!
The Dog Lovers Festival returns to Sydney Showground on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August 2025, bringing with it two full days of tail-wagging action, floppy ears, wet noses and unfiltered joy.
This is a celebration of all things dog – from loyal Labradors and tiny terriers to high-flying hounds and rescue pups with heart-melting eyes. Whether you’re a proud pooch parent, planning to adopt, or simply obsessed with dogs, this is your dream weekend.
Leading the pack once again is Farmer Dave Graham, returning with his crowd-favourite SuperDogs Spectacular. Expect gravity-defying leaps from Kurgo DockDogs®, speedy Mini Dog Races, and the crowd-thrilling K9 SuperWall – all taking centre stage in the VitaPet Arena.
The ADVANCE™ Stage will offer expert tips and heartfelt insights from some of Australia’s top dog minds, including Jamie the Dog Trainer, Lara Shannon, Sam March from The Dog House, and Marlene Brewer & Hudson from Muster Dogs. It’s a chance to boost your training skills, learn more about canine behaviour, and strengthen that all-important bond with your four-legged mate.

Dog lovers can meet and pat pups at the Barney Bed Pat-A-Pooch Zone, browse a huge range of breeds, and connect with shelters in the Adoption Zone, which helps pair rescue dogs with loving new homes. If your idea of heaven is shopping for your pup, the Festival’s massive expo floor will be packed with pet food, toys, treats, accessories, wellness products and the latest in dog tech.
Event Director Paul Mathers says the Festival is a must-visit for anyone who knows life is better with a dog.

Oh – and if cats are more your thing (we’ll forgive you), the Sydney Cat Lovers Festival is happening in the same venue, with entry included in your ticket. Expect breed showcases, expert talks, and some truly committed kitty cosplay.
