The group was hosted in various locations in the destination, starting off in the west in Bourail with a stay at the Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Spa & Golf Resort and a welcome dinner at the hotel’s restaurant located on the beach.
The following day included a visit to Poé Beach, a glass-bottom boat lagoon tour and a visit to the Boulouparis Distillery before returning to Noumea for an overnight stay at Le Méridien Noumea Resort & Spa.
While in the capital, the group had the opportunity to explore two of the islands just off the coast, Amédée Island and Master Island, including a site visit of the only overwater bungalow resort in the destination, DoubleTree by Hilton Maître Island Resort.
For the adventurous, a jet ski ride around the small island delivered an adrenaline rush, while others preferred a relaxing afternoon soaking up the sun on the beach.
The final night was spent at the recently renovated Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences, with a goodbye dinner at the popular Marmite et Tire-Bouchon, known for its fusion of French cuisine and New Caledonian flavours.
“Travel agents play a crucial role in reassuring travellers that it’s once again safe to visit New Caledonia and to rediscover the unique charm of the destination,” said Rebecca Marchal, New Cal’s Australian representative.
“We’re excited to welcome the travel industry back and for them to experience all the new developments and openings, which are clear signs of the destination’s readiness and enthusiasm to reengage with the world.”
