Great news for Australian cruise fans with one of our favourite ships to get a multi-million dollar makeover.

Celebrity Solstice is first in line as the cruise company invests $US250m (approx. $AU387m) across all five ships in the Solstice Series over the next five years.

Solstice has visited Australian shores more than any other in the Celebrity fleet and is due back here again in April.

Guests can look forward to eight new experiences, including four new-to-sea spaces and many redesigned favourites.

Bold, bow to stern innovations include reinvented outdoor escapes with enhanced views, new restaurants and entertainment, as well as a redesigned stay with all new stateroom categories and ship-wide stateroom upgrades.

Highlights of the revitalisation include:

# A transformed top deck where guests will find Sunset Park – an outdoor oasis with elevated cuisine, cocktails, lawn games, open-air concerts, and everything in between.

# New private cabanas with sweeping ocean views and more shade, along with dedicated attendants.

# Italian restaurant hideaway Trattoria Rossa with an atmosphere that blends Roman influence with modern design.

# New entertainment spaces like Boulevard Lounge (with new game shows and trivia to evenings of candlelit concerts) and Celebrity Barcade (the elevated sports and entertainment bar).

# New experiences at The Retreat, with an all-new sundeck and redesigned lounge, and new menu at Daniel Boulud’s private restaurant Luminae.

# An expanded AquaClass with newly updated staterooms with spa-inspired elements (including massaging shower heads and aroma therapy diffusers), and four brand-new stateroom categories not yet available on any other ship.

Following her refurbishment, Celebrity Solstice will sail from Singapore to Hong Kong, then head to Australia to arrive by April 1. She’ll return again in October 2026 as part of the Grand Voyage.

“Our Solstice Series ships represent the best of classic cruising and now we’re elevating this holiday experience even further by adding brand new experiences and enhancements at every turn,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises.

“Guests will enjoy more ways to explore and restore, all while staying true to what made our guests fall in love with these ships in the first place.”
