Memphis is the starting point for a river cruise and stay package for 2026 just released by Australian small ship cruise specialist, Cruise Traveller.

The nine-night ‘Graceland and the Music Cities’ package features a Mississippi cruise between the great music capitals of Memphis and Nashville, which still resonate with the echoes of music legends like Elvis who created the enduring soundtrack of America.

Elvis is a major focus of this tour which begins on June 8, 2026, with a two-night, complimentary stay in the Graceland Guest House Hotel and a full ‘Elvis Experience’ tour which includes a tour inside Graceland and his garden burial site on the estate.

Guests then board the five-deck paddlewheeler American Splendor (above), which stylishly recreates the grandeur of history’s great riverboats on the Mississippi but offers contemporary styling, large staterooms and elegant dining and lounge areas.

Showcasing the storied river scenery and culture made famous by author, Mark Twain, the journey upstream to Nashville will take guests on an immersive journey through history along the mighty Mississippi – one of the world’s great rivers.

The route north continues along the Ohio and Cumberland rivers through the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and Illinois, with stops at historic places like Paducah, Dover and Clarksville.

“Memphis, Nashville and the Mississippi are emblematic places on the American map and our new package offers all these icons in one, easy holiday, with included, pre-cruise accommodation and an unforgettable visit to Graceland all included in the deal,” said Joe O’Sullivan, Cruise Traveller Managing Director.

Including port excursions and onboard beverages, the nine-night ‘Graceland and the Music Cities’ package is available from $US5,660 (approx. $AU8,600) per person twin share but only until August 31.
