Figures show that bookings from Down Under for Atlas Ocean Voyages increased by 600 per cent in 2024 compared to the previous year.

Group bookings comprised two-thirds of Australian sales in 2024 and two-thirds of all bookings from Australia were for Antarctica, followed by the Arctic, with growing demand also for the brand’s special epicurean expeditions in Europe.

Australia now ranks third in guest volume behind North America and the UK.

“We are delighted with the progress we have seen in the Australian market,” said Bernie Carter, International Sales Director for Atlas Ocean Voyages.

“Through Cruise Traveller we are working to support the Australian travel agency community to further develop awareness of the unique, luxury expedition yacht experience that Atlas Ocean Voyages provides.”

Atlas Ocean Voyages operates three identical 198-guest expedition ships, with the first launched in 2021, the second in 2022 and the third in 2023.

“Atlas Ocean Voyages has hit a real chord with Australians,” said Joe O’Sullivan, Cruise Traveller Managing Director.

“The brand is a perfect fit for Australians who value no-fuss, effortless elegance, an abundance of space, elevated cuisine, efficient service, affordability and a focus on authentic, low-impact visits to smaller ports and remote and pristine places around the world.”
