The Solomon Islands and the Kingdom of Tonga are hitting the road together for the first time to showcase two of the Pacific’s most authentic and unspoiled destinations.
This landmark roadshow will take place in Sydney (November 18) and Brisbane (November 19), giving frontline travel agents an exclusive opportunity to rediscover the Pacific beyond the well-worn holiday hotspots.
Unlike their more established neighbours, both the Solomon Islands and Tonga remain refreshingly untouched by mass tourism.
That means agents attending the functions will walk away with fresh experiences to share with clients who have already “been there, done that” across the Pacific.
“This collaboration is the first of its kind, bringing together the best of Melanesia and Polynesia in a single showcase,” said Richard Skewes, the Aust/NZ Trade Manager for both countries.
“It’s an opportunity for the trade to learn directly from the people who come from these destinations – and to discover new reasons why their clients should holiday in the Solomons and Tonga in 2026.”
What to Expect

# Meanwhile Tourism Solomons has also unveiled an innovative campaign inviting travel agents to help craft a tagline for the destination’s next round of advertising.
Launched under a ‘Let Your Imagination Set Sail — and Win!’ banner, the campaign opens the door for travel professionals to unleash their creativity and share what they believe captures the true spirit of Solomon Islands.
The winning entry will see the chosen tagline take pride of place in the NTO’s next real-world destination marketing, in the process delivering the ultimate bragging rights to the creative travel professional behind it.
To celebrate their contribution, the winner will also receive a special prize pack as a heartfelt ‘Tagio Tumas’ for their effort.
Entries are now open at https://enterhere.net/solomon-islands-tagline/ and close at COB on October 21.
