Accor is bolstering its presence across the Pacific with a landmark agreement to manage three iconic hotels currently operated by Bayview International Hotels & Resorts.
From May 2025, Accor will take the reins of The Sydney Boulevard Hotel in East Sydney, Bayview Geographe Resort in Busselton (WA), and Wairakei Resort in Taupo, New Zealand—strengthening the group’s already significant footprint in the region.
The three hotels will remain under their existing names for now but are set to undergo major refurbishments before relaunching under Accor brands. The revamp will aim to elevate guest experiences by integrating Accor’s global standards, loyalty program ALL, and premium services.
Adrian Williams, Accor Pacific’s Chief Operating Officer, said the deal represents an exciting chapter. “These three properties are well-loved by locals and visitors alike. Our vision is to elevate their guest experiences through our powerful brands and world-class service offering,” he said.
The Sydney Boulevard Hotel, a long-standing favourite in the harbour city, features 277 guestrooms, seven suites, a ballroom, restaurant and café, and a top-floor function space with sweeping views over Sydney Harbour.
Meanwhile, the Bayview Geographe Resort, located three hours south of Perth in Busselton, is a coastal retreat offering 137 rooms and villas, an indoor pool, tennis court, golf putting green and direct beach access.

In New Zealand, the Wairakei Resort Taupo is nestled in a geothermal wonderland near Lake Taupo. The property includes 187 guestrooms, a nine-hole golf course, geothermal pool, day spa, multiple dining venues and substantial conference facilities.
Derek Yan, Vice President of Projects & Product Development for Bayview International, said partnering with Accor marks an exciting new era. “This collaboration will allow us to elevate these three properties to new heights,” he said. “It reaffirms our commitment to growth and excellence in the region.”
Accor’s portfolio spans more than 400 hotels across the Pacific under globally recognised brands including Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Mantra, ibis and Mövenpick.
The partnership blends Bayview’s legacy of hospitality with Accor’s global scale, promising a refreshed guest experience in three standout locations.
