Travel Agent Finder has opened its internal Travel Trade Connect directory to Australian travel suppliers, tourism boards and businesses supporting travel agents.

The platform had previously operated within its member area after launching in 2021.

Agents can use the directory to find business development contacts, training programmes, famils, incentives and industry events. It serves a network of around 800 agents, with 77% operating home based or mobile businesses.

Trade partners can join for $487 a year, with a seven day free trial. Membership includes a directory profile, training and event listings and access to a Specialist Badge Program carrying more than 900 verified agent accreditations.

Anna Shannon, Founder of Travel Agent Finder and Travel Trade Connect, said opening the directory to more organisations would increase the range of contacts and resources available to agent members.

“Until 2020, I was a home-based agent myself, so I built the tool I always wanted myself: one place to find the right trade contact, information and resources, searchable by keyword, in a few seconds, without digging through a zillion emails. 24/7 access to find what we need, when we need it,” said Ms Shannon.

“An industry directory is only as useful as it is complete. That’s why we’ve moved to one low flat fee for trade partners: the more of the industry inside, the more valuable it becomes for every travel agent member – building the one community the whole industry can be part of, together.”

Eligible organisations must provide a commissionable product or service, or support Australian travel agents, trade in Australia and have an Australian based representative. Agents can access the directory through their Travel Agent Finder membership.
