A lucky group of Australian travel agents has just returned from an unforgettable famil exploring New Zealand’s spectacular South Island, hosted by Infinity Holidays and ChristchurchNZ.
The immersive trip highlighted some of the best landscapes the region has to offer, with the group travelling along the famed Great Coast Road on State Highway 6 to Punakaiki and the famous Pancake Rocks.
From dramatic coastal cliffs to rugged beaches and lush native forest, the journey delivered a true taste of Aotearoa’s natural beauty.
Agents on the famil included Hannah Birrell from TravelManagers, Amber Cassidy from ITA and Julia van Huisstede from italktravel & Cruise The Junction.
Representing Infinity Holidays was Adam Dickson, joined by passionate local hosts from ChristchurchNZ who shared their in-depth knowledge and love for the region.
Traveltalk asked Julia van Huisstede (pictured below) for her impressions of the trip:
“After being blown away by the vibrant and dynamic city that is Christchurch, we have explored the Wild West coast and enjoyed the flavours of NZ in its amazing hospitality, food and wine as well as bathing in hot springs with the finale being a Heli flight over Kaikoura spotting whales and dolphins. An unforgettable experience.”
The famil comes amid a surge in demand for New Zealand, with Infinity Holidays reporting a 90 per cent year-on-year increase in bookings.
The growth follows the success of a South Island campaign run in partnership with Christchurch Airport earlier this year and reflects the renewed appetite among Australian travellers for adventure, scenery and Kiwi hospitality.
Infinity Holidays’ ongoing partnership with ChristchurchNZ continues to strengthen, helping travel agents discover the diverse experiences that make the South Island a must-visit for every kind of traveller.
