Under the new plan, Tauck will wind down its dedicated sales and reservations team in Australia in stages throughout 2026.

Instead, it will draw upon the company’s global network to support Tauck’s travel advisors and guests in Australia.

In a media statement, the company said the decision reflects Tauck’s ongoing commitment to align its resources where they can have the greatest impact and to continue to deliver the highest level of service to guests worldwide.

“After a thoughtful review of our global operations, we have determined that integrating our Australian sales and reservations functions into our wider network will enable us to better support our guests and partners worldwide,” said Steve Spivak, vice president, global sales and service at Tauck.

The company will continue to support its employees, partners and guests throughout this transition. Sales team member roles will be maintained through March 31, 2026, with reservations staff positions kept in place through December 15, 2026.

Tauck will also continue to serve Australian travel advisors and guests with dedicated assistance from its global sales and reservations teams. The company will also work closely with its travel agency partners to ensure a seamless transition and maintain the strong relationships that have been cultivated over many years.

“I have been honoured and humbled to work with Tauck over the past six years,” said David Clark, Managing Director Australia.

“During this time, my team and I have been able to bring this wonderful, historic travel brand to our Australian travel partners and travellers, which has been incredibly rewarding.

“I would like to thank each member of the Australian sales and reservations team for their hard work and dedication to the Tauck brand as well as our valued travel agent partners and media friends for their continued support.

“Built over four generations, Tauck truly offers its travellers something incredibly special and I wish them only the very best.”

With rising demand and 20% growth on Australia itineraries in 2025, Tauck continues to invest in inbound tourism Down Under with Spotlight on Australia, a new 10-day journey for 2026 showcasing Melbourne, Uluru, Port Douglas, Cairns, the Great Barrier Reef and Sydney.

“Tauck has been proud to serve the Australian travel community for more than 40 years,” added Spivak,

“We remain deeply committed to our Australian guests and partners, and to providing the high standards of care and service that they’ve come to expect, during this transition and beyond.

“Our existing itinerary offerings will proceed as planned, as we continue to welcome Australian travellers across our full portfolio of journeys on all seven continents.”
