Eclipse Travel has expanded its specialist destination portfolio with the launch of Canada & Alaska.
The new collection brings Eclipse Travel’s tailormade expertise to rail journeys, self-drive touring, expedition cruising, small group travel and remote wilderness lodges across both destinations.
Eclipse Travel has partnered with Rocky Mountaineer for the destination launch campaign and created three hero itineraries that pair its daylight rail journeys through the Canadian Rockies with carefully selected experiences on the ground.
The launch builds on Eclipse Travel’s established expertise across Antarctica, the Arctic, Africa, and Central and South America.
It also responds to growing interest from clients seeking expansive landscapes, wildlife encounters and thoughtfully planned journeys that combine comfort with a genuine sense of place.
The three recommended journeys feature Rocky Mountaineer’s ‘First Passage to the West’ and ‘Journey Through the Clouds’ routes.
Each itinerary adds time to experience the places beyond the train, including Vancouver Island, Banff and Jasper national parks, the Icefields Parkway, the Okanagan Valley and Whistler.
“Canada and Alaska have been on our radar for a long time because they share so much with the destinations Eclipse Travel already knows and loves: extraordinary wildlife, vast landscapes and journeys that stay with you,” said Matt McMillan, Director and Co-owner, Eclipse Travel.
“Rocky Mountaineer gives the launch an iconic centrepiece, while our broader range allows us to create something personal for our clients around it.”
Canada and Alaska, the Eclipse way
Beyond the three hero rail journeys, Eclipse Travel’s new range includes:
# Small ship expedition cruises through Alaska’s Inside Passage and the Canadian Arctic
# Self-drive journeys through the Canadian Rockies, British Columbia, and Alaska
# Bear and wilderness lodge stays, including remote fly-in properties
# Wildlife journeys focused on polar bears at Churchill, grizzlies, whales and other northern species
# Small group tours, winter holidays and Northern Lights experiences
# Eastern Canada itineraries through Quebec, the Maritimes and Atlantic Canada
Clients can book one of the featured journeys as designed or work with an Eclipse Travel specialist to create a completely tailored itinerary.
Rail, cruising, self-drive sectors, guided touring and wilderness stays can be combined around each traveller’s interests, dates, pace, preferred accommodation and budget.
“We wanted to launch Canada and Alaska with real depth,” said Hilary Dubyk, General Manager, Eclipse Travel.
“Our clients might come to us with Rocky Mountaineer at the top of their list, then ask about adding a bear lodge, an Alaska cruise or a road trip through the Rockies.
“Our role is to understand what matters most to them and bring those pieces together into one seamless journey.”
