CATO will bring its International Women’s Day (IWD) celebration to Sydney for the first time with a lunch scheduled for March 5 next year.
The 2027 event builds on CATO’s successful IWD events over the past three years, while expanding the celebration to bring together even more people from across the Australian travel industry.
“The CATO International Women’s Day Travel Industry Lunch has become a very special event for us and in 2027 we’re excited to bring it to Sydney and open it up to the wider travel industry,” said Mira Yates, Director of CATO & Education.
“It will be a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the tremendous women across travel, as well as the people who champion and support them, while creating space for genuine connection and conversation.
“International Women’s Day is an important opportunity to come together, recognise what is working well and continue the conversation about how we can ensure everyone has the opportunity to contribute and thrive in this great industry.”
The celebration at the Hyatt Regency Sydney will recognise the women who keep Australia travelling as well as those who champion them, with great food, networking opportunities, inspiring conversations and the chance to win some prizes.
Flight Centre Travel Group has been confirmed as the inaugural sponsor of the Sydney event.
