Celebrity Cruises has announced an investment of over USD $250 million to breathe new life into its iconic Solstice Series ships, beginning with the Celebrity Solstice in 2026. From top to bottom, these much-loved ships are getting a fresh look and feel, with eight new spaces, four brand-new venues, and upgrades throughout.
The first ship to undergo this transformation, Celebrity Solstice, will set sail in March 2026 with revamped itineraries spanning Alaska, Hawaii, Fiji, and Southeast Asia. Guests can expect not only stunning new destinations but also a host of reimagined experiences on board. The Grand Voyage, a 110-night journey across 55 ports, will take guests from Canada to Southeast Asia from September to December 2026.
Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, said: “Our Solstice Series ships represent the best of classic cruising, and now we’re elevating this holiday experience even further by adding brand new experiences and enhancements at every turn.”
New Spaces and Fresh Experiences
Highlights include the Boulevard Lounge, an intimate cabaret-style venue offering everything from trivia games to candlelit concerts, and the adjacent Boulevard Bar for expertly crafted cocktails. There’s also the Celebrity Barcade, an upscale sports bar where guests can enjoy a match on the big screen or challenge friends to darts, billiards, and retro board games.
On the culinary front, guests can indulge in authentic Italian cuisine at Trattoria Rossa, with daily scratch-made pasta and tableside service. Fine Cut Steakhouse, a Forbes Travel Guide-rated favourite from the Edge Series, will also make its debut, promising top-quality steaks, seafood, and exceptional service.
Outdoor Escapes and Upgraded Views
Top deck transformations include Sunset Park, an expansive outdoor oasis complete with lawn games, concerts, and fresh culinary offerings. Private cabanas and an expanded Sunset Bar promise even more relaxation and views.
For those seeking the ultimate indulgence, The Retreat will be reimagined with enhanced suites, a brand-new sundeck, and a redesigned Retreat Lounge, creating a haven of relaxation for guests looking for the pinnacle of luxury.
All 1,479 staterooms on Celebrity Solstice will be refreshed, including AquaClass staterooms that offer a wellness-focused experience with spa-inspired touches like in-room yoga mats and aromatherapy diffusers. Four new stateroom categories – including Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suites and Deluxe Panoramic Oceanview Suites – will offer even more options to suit different tastes.
The enhancements don’t stop there, with updates also coming to popular venues such as Café Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, Blu (for AquaClass guests), and Luminae (exclusive to The Retreat). From the Martini Bar to the Fitness Centre and Camp at Sea, every corner of the ship is set for a transformation.
These modernised experiences will launch with Asia and Australia itineraries in March 2026, followed by winter in Alaska. Whether it’s a quick getaway or the epic Grand Voyage, guests will have endless opportunities to reconnect, relax, and explore in style aboard the revitalised Celebrity Solstice.
