Air Tahiti Nui (international carrier) and Air Tahiti (inter-island carrier) have announced the signing of a codeshare agreement.
The deal provides visitors with additional travel options and greatly simplifies their planning process. This agreement will take effect for reservations and trips starting June 2.
From this date, Air Tahiti Nui will apply its TN code to selected flights operated by the domestic airline, providing visitors to Bora Bora and Rarotonga with a simplified, seamless booking and travel experience with Air Tahiti Nui from Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Japan and America.
This agreement will initially apply to two flight routes:
- Bora Bora with six daily flights, operated on an ATR72 aircraft
- Rarotonga with two flights per week, operated on an ATR72 aircraft
Air Tahiti Nui flights are exclusively operated on a fleet of Boeing 787-9 aircraft, known as Tahitian Dreamliners.
Air Tahiti inter-island flights are operated on ATR 72 (70 seats) and ATR 42 (48 seats) aircraft, currently in economy or premium class. From December 2026, an “all business” option will also be available.
“By connecting our networks, we will offer our customers a more seamless experience with a single ticket to their final destination,” said Philippe Marie, CEO of Air Tahiti Nui.
“This is a crucial first step in strengthening our joint offering with Air Tahiti, which we intend to expand with new routes soon.
“We look forward to offering this to our customers to further enhance the quality of our service.”
Air Tahiti Nui links the South Pacific with four continents as the leading carrier to French Polynesia, with non-stop flights to Tahiti from Auckland, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Seattle, and non-stop flights connecting Paris with Los Angeles and Seattle.
