The Australian Cruise Association (ACA) has opened registrations for its 2026 Conference and AGM, with a heavyweight line-up of global cruise leaders confirmed to headline the industry’s flagship annual gathering in Brisbane.

Taking place from 2–4 September, the 28th annual conference will bring together cruise executives, ports, destinations and tourism stakeholders under the theme Building Value Beyond the Berth.

Among the keynote speakers announced are Cruise Lines International Association CEO Charles “Bud” Darr, Holland America Line and Seabourn Vice President Onboard Revenue Carole Biencourt, Bermello Ajamil CEO Luis Ajamil and Viking Cruises Director of Port Operations Stefano Torresi.

The speakers are expected to provide insights into global deployment trends, itinerary planning, destination development and the future direction of the cruise sector.

ACA Chief Executive Officer Jill Abel said Brisbane was an ideal location to host the conference as the industry focuses on the next phase of growth.

“The theme ‘Building Value Beyond the Berth’ reflects the industry’s increasing focus on long-term economic, social and community value, and the important role cruise plays in supporting destinations, tourism operators and local businesses across the country,” Abel said.

“We are delighted to welcome such a high-calibre line-up of international and domestic speakers who will provide valuable insights into the future of cruise deployment, destination development and industry collaboration.”

Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Craig Davidson said the conference would provide an opportunity to showcase Brisbane and Queensland to influential cruise decision-makers.

“Brisbane continues to strengthen its position as a leading cruise destination, supported by world-class infrastructure, growing international appeal and exceptional visitor experiences,” Davidson said.

The three-day program will begin with a series of networking and familiarisation tours highlighting Brisbane’s cruise and tourism assets, including the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, Howard Smith Wharves and a range of food, beverage and cultural experiences.

Conference sessions on 3 September will feature industry updates, keynote presentations and panel discussions focused on cruise trends, innovation and regional development, before concluding with the ACA Annual General Meeting on 4 September.

The event is supported by Tourism and Events Queensland, Brisbane Economic Development Agency and Port of Brisbane, alongside a range of cruise industry partners and sponsors.

Early bird registrations are available until 31 July.
