Day four sees the tour head south to Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its fusion of Malay, Chinese, British and Portuguese influences.

Here you’ll visit all the famous landmarks – Porta De Santiago, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Jonker Street – before heading to the Melaka and Kampung Cantik Village for a very special immersive experience.

Tea is very much on the menu when the tour heads into the Cameron Highlands (above), located some 1,542 metres above sea level.

Your journey continues at the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre, where you’ll learn about the conservation of the world’s smallest bear species.

At the tranquil Kelenanap Oxbow Lake, you can spot a variety of birds and other fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. This region is famed for its ‘Big 5’ of Borneo: pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, orangutans, rhinoceros hornbills, and estuarine crocodiles.

The final day in the rainforest will be spent cruising the Menanggol River and exploring the Gomantong Cave, where more than two million bats emerge every night.
