Over twenty exhibitors from Christchurch and Canterbury have been showcasing their products at events in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast this week, highlighting the region’s vibrant offerings to the Australian market.

The showcase, organised by ChristchurchNZ, aimed to strengthen business connections and promote the unique experiences, products, and services that the Christchurch and Canterbury region have to offer. From tourism operators to food and beverage producers, the exhibitors represented a diverse range of industries, reflecting the rich culture and innovation of the area.

These events provided an excellent platform for exhibitors to engage directly with Australian buyers and distributors, fostering new partnerships and expanding their market reach. Attendees were given the opportunity to sample local delicacies, explore travel packages, and learn more about the region’s attractions, which are just a short flight away from Australia’s east coast.

The initiative also supports the recovery of the tourism and hospitality sectors, which have been significantly impacted in recent years. By reconnecting with international audiences, Christchurch and Canterbury businesses are poised to attract more Australian visitors and boost economic growth.

Event organisers reported positive feedback, with many exhibitors expressing optimism about the potential for increased business opportunities and collaboration. As the Christchurch and Canterbury region continues to grow its reputation as a world-class destination, events like these play a crucial role in strengthening ties with key international markets.
