Virgin Australia has launched a flash sale offering Economy X upgrades from just $8 per person per sector across its domestic network, making extra legroom, priority boarding and dedicated overhead locker space more accessible than ever.
Libby Minogue, Virgin Australia Chief Marketing and Customer Operations Officer, said the sale delivered exceptional value for travellers looking to add comfort to their journey.
“From as low as $8 per person, guests can upgrade to Economy X and enjoy extra legroom, priority boarding and dedicated overhead locker space on their next flight. For many guests, a little extra space can make a big difference, particularly on longer journeys,” Ms Minogue said.
The $8 upgrade price is available on more than 20 routes including Sydney to Melbourne, Sydney to Brisbane, Brisbane to Melbourne, Sydney to Gold Coast, Sydney to Hobart and Adelaide to Alice Springs.
Economy X includes up to 40 per cent more legroom than standard Economy seating, priority check-in where available, priority boarding and preferred overhead locker space.
The sale is available until 11:59pm AEST on July 9, 2026, on bookings made at least seven days before departure.
