A British Airways flight attendant was found naked and dancing in a business class lavatory during a transatlantic flight from San Francisco to London Heathrow on May 25, 2025, raising concerns about crew conduct and in-flight safety.

The 41-year-old male crew member reportedly went missing during the meal service on the flight, which was carrying approximately 470 passengers and crew. After a search, colleagues found him in the Club World cabin’s bathroom, completely unclothed and behaving erratically, turning the space into what was described as a “one-man disco.”

Fellow crew members managed to dress the man in first-class pyjamas and restrained him in a first-class seat for the remainder of the 10.5-hour journey. The incident forced the rest of the cabin crew to work the entire flight without breaks, covering for the missing crew member and ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout.

Upon arrival at Heathrow Airport at 11 a.m. local time, the Metropolitan Police were called to the scene. The flight attendant was taken to a hospital for medical assessment and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being unfit for duty. He has since been released under investigation.

Passengers were reportedly largely unaware of the incident during the flight. However, the event has prompted discussions about the pressures faced by airline staff and the need for robust mental health support within the industry.
