Meanwhile Qantas has launched a 72-hour Queensland sale, in partnership with Tourism & Events Queensland (TEQ) to support the tourism industry following ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Economy fares start from $99 one way from Sydney to Gold Coast and Brisbane to Prosperine (Whitsunday Coast), with more than 30 other routes on offer.

Offer fares are for travel for selected dates between May 19 and December 10 and are available until 11.59pm (AEST) April 16 unless sold out prior.
