International travellers heading to Indonesia can add selected domestic flights at no additional cost under a new program offering more than 170,000 seats through November.
Garuda Indonesia’s Free Domestic Flight program is available for eligible passengers holding return international tickets to Indonesia, with travel permitted from now until November 30.
The initiative is designed to encourage visitors to travel beyond major gateways such as Jakarta and Denpasar by connecting international journeys with destinations across the airline’s domestic network.
Prina Eka Putri, Garuda Indonesia Marketing Group Head, said the program was intended to make multi destination travel within Indonesia easier.
“Indonesia is too vast to be enjoyed from just one destination. That’s why we want to make it easier to continue your journey within Indonesia,” Ms Prina said.
The airline has allocated more than 170,000 return domestic seats to the initiative, with the program also available to eligible members of the Indonesian diaspora, migrant workers and citizens returning home.
Garuda said greater domestic connectivity could encourage longer stays while spreading visitor spending across accommodation, restaurants, transport providers and tourism businesses outside the country’s main international gateways.
Eligible routes, booking requirements and full terms and conditions are available through the airline’s dedicated Free Add-On Domestic page.
