Abercrombie & Kent founder Geoffrey Kent will personally host an ultra-luxury, insider-only Brazil journey in February 2027, combining Rio Carnival and Iguazu Falls in a single eight-day itinerary designed for just 16 guests.
The one-off program, Rio Carnival to Iguazú Falls: An Inspiring Expedition by Geoffrey Kent, promises VIP access to what is billed as the world’s greatest celebration, paired with rare, multi-angle perspectives on one of South America’s most spectacular natural wonders.
Hosted by Kent himself – who describes Brazil as his “second home” – the journey is crafted to showcase the “very soul of Rio”, from its footballing passion to its legendary party culture and dramatic coastal scenery.
Guests can expect an exclusive on-pitch moment with a Brazilian soccer star at Maracanã Stadium after the crowds have gone, followed by a helicopter flight circling Christ the Redeemer and a private cable car ascent to Sugar Loaf Mountain for an evening framed by Rio’s most famous views.
The experience in Rio begins with a welcome dinner at a private estate in the bohemian Santa Teresa neighbourhood, setting an intimate, celebratory tone for the days ahead.
Accommodation is at the Philippe Starck–designed Fasano Hotel overlooking Ipanema Beach, ensuring a high-design base that matches the level of curation throughout the itinerary. Every element is positioned as both immersive and seamless, reflecting Kent’s long-established travel style.
Carnival access is firmly in the “insider-only” category. Guests receive all-access passes to stroll the red carpet and attend the Copacabana Palace Magic Ball, widely regarded as Carnival’s most exclusive event.
The following day includes special access to a samba school to uncover how the iconic parade comes together, before the festivities culminate in a night at the Sambadrome, where the group watches the parades of elaborate floats, dancers and drum sections from the comfort of a private lounge reserved exclusively for the A&K party.
From Rio, the journey continues by private charter flight to Iguazu Falls, where guests stay three nights at Belmond Hotel das Cataratas, the only property located inside the national park.

The Iguazu program is built around multiple, privileged vantage points: before-hours access to the falls with the park to themselves, a helicopter flight over the cascades, and a thrilling boat ride to the base of the churning water, taking in both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides of this UNESCO-listed natural wonder.
An elegant farewell celebration beside the falls brings the expedition to a close.
True to A&K form at the very top end of the market, the journey is designed to remove all friction for travellers.
The program includes fully inclusive dining and imaginative cocktail events, Travelling Bell Boy® luggage handling and laundry service throughout, the services of an expert Tour Director and local guides, and a dedicated photographer capturing and sharing the experience in real time and afterwards.
The aim is for guests to focus entirely on the destination and the company, including time with Kent himself, while every logistical detail is quietly managed behind the scenes.
Rio Carnival to Iguazú Falls: An Inspiring Expedition by Geoffrey Kent is priced from $124,995 USD (approximately $191,330 AUD) per person for eight days and is scheduled to depart on 5 February 2027.
